There are two ways to join a class:

  • From your home page, next to the class in your list.
  • From inside the course, on the class card.

When it's time to start, you'll see a Live tag and the Join button will light up. Click it, and you're straight in — whichever video app your school uses, it opens automatically. There's no link to find, nothing to type, no password, and no account to create with that app.

If you click a little early, you won't see an error. You'll see a screen letting you know your session is starting soon, with who's teaching and when it starts — it takes you in on its own the moment class begins, so you don't need to do anything. Taking longer than expected? There's a Chat with admin button on that screen.

A few tips for a smoother class:

  • Use Chrome or Firefox if you can. On Safari, Join sometimes gets blocked — if clicking it does nothing, check whether your browser is blocking a pop-up, and allow it.
  • On a computer, if you're asked to open the class in its own app instead of your browser, saying yes usually works better.
  • On your phone, just open your school's app (or My Online Classes) and join from there — you don't need to install anything separately.
  • Say yes if you're asked to allow your camera and microphone.
