How can we help you support your child's learning?
Everything a Wise parent needs to know — accounts, fees, messaging, and viewing your child's own account.
1. Getting Started
How a parent account gets created
A parent account is always linked to at least one learner; your institute adds you directly or you register via a Parent Registration Form.
Your welcome email
Your welcome email includes your own login details plus your child's learner login email and PIN, so you can stay informed on their learning.
Logging in
No password to remember: sign in with Google, Apple, a one-time code, or your institute's Login PIN, always via your institute's own platform URL.
Adding your child (learner) to your account
If your institute allows it, link a child yourself from My Learners or the account switcher: name required, email and phone optional.
Signing a contract or consent form
Some institutes require a signed contract or consent form, often guardian-only for minors; a document can bundle several separately-worded consents.
2. Finding Your Way Around
3. Viewing Your Child's Account
Switching into a child's account
Select View next to a learner's name to drop straight into their Student dashboard, no separate login needed; the link is one-way.
Switching between accounts from anywhere
The Viewing as [Name] indicator in the top bar opens Switch account: every linked learner, your own account, and an Add Learner shortcut.
If you have more than one child enrolled
Course content is viewed per child, one at a time; Fees is the one place that deliberately combines all your children into a single view.
4. Fees & Payments
Your Fees overview
Fee visibility is institute-controlled; the Fees tab shows learner/course counts, a pending total, and a combined billing-plan table across all children.
Billing plan types you might see
One-time or Installments bills by invoice; Postpaid Per Session (PAYG) bills after each completed session on a recurring cycle with a grace period.
Paying an invoice
A Pay now button appears when payment is due and a gateway is connected; otherwise your institute is handling payment outside the platform.
Adding a payment method
Add payment method on My Learners opens a standard card-entry form handled entirely by your institute's payment provider, not by Wise directly.
5. Messaging
Starting a conversation
New chat (if Chats is enabled) lists instructors and institute admins you can message directly, with the usual compose, attachments, and voice options.
You're automatically included in your child's own conversations
You're auto-included as a participant in your child's existing tutor chat; Wise doesn't create a separate parallel parent-tutor thread.
A note on sensitive feedback
Session feedback is visible to both parent and child by default; direct chat is the usual workaround for anything too sensitive to show the student.
6. Your Account
Viewing and updating your profile
Update your name and profile picture under Profile Settings; your login email can't be changed there, contact your institute if it needs to change.
Setting your language and timezone
Set your display language and timezone under Preferences; your timezone affects how all session times are shown, including your child's.
Logging out
Select Logout from the same profile menu.
7. Troubleshooting
I don't see a Fees tab, or I can't see fees for one of my children
Fee visibility to parents and students is an institute-controlled setting; check with your institute before assuming it's a bug.
I can't find the Pay Now button
No Pay Now option usually means your institute hasn't connected a payment gateway yet and is handling payment another way.
I don't see a session, piece of content, or recording I expected
Course content lives inside your child's own account, not your Parent dashboard; switch into their account first via View or the account switcher.
I can't log in
Double-check your registered email, your institute's own platform URL, and your spam folder for the OTP; contact your institute if none of that helps.
My child can see my account, or I can't see theirs
The parent-child link is one-directional by design; contact your institute if the wrong accounts seem linked or a child is missing from My Learners.
