A parent account is always linked to at least one learner (student) on the platform: there's no such thing as a standalone parent account with no children attached. Depending on how your institute runs registration, this can happen a couple of ways:

  • Your institute adds you directly, the same way they'd add a student: you'll receive a welcome email once your account (and the linked learner) is set up.
  • You register yourself through your institute's own Parent Registration Form, if they've set one up (usable as a public link posted on their own website, separate from logging into Wise). This form collects your details and lets you add one or more students in the same flow.
  • A contract or consent form may be part of this process too, see 1.5 below.

Either way, once your account exists you'll get a welcome email, with your own login link to your institute's platform.
