Your Institute Name and Institute Code are set at signup and become part of how your institute is identified across the platform — login links, bookmarks, and anything built on top of your institute code, including the free mobile app (2.5). Changing either later is not a simple settings edit once students and tutors are already using them day to day.

Decide your final name and code before you invite anyone, not after you've already onboarded a first batch of users.
