Step 4 of the enrollment wizard (4.1), "Setup Billing Plan," opens either Select Billing Plan (reuse an existing plan already on the account — see the Linked Courses pooling behaviour in 4.4) or New Billing Plan. New Billing Plan lists five types for a 1:1 course, four of them grouped under Session Based and one under Other:
- Session Based Subscription — "Recurring payments tied to a set number of sessions each cycle." A recurring charge on a billing cycle, for a fixed number of sessions per cycle set on the plan. You can't schedule more sessions than that number within a cycle; if fewer are used, unused sessions carry over to the next cycle by default.
- Prepaid Per Session — "Charged ahead of each session as it's scheduled." Billed on whatever cadence the plan's Billing Cycle is set to, which can be a calendar cadence (weekly, monthly, etc.) or a per-session cadence. On a calendar cadence — e.g. monthly, billing on the 1st — the charge generated on the 1st is price-per-credit × the number of sessions already scheduled for that period, and any session scheduled later in the cycle, after that period's invoice has already gone out, gets its own ad hoc invoice. On a per-session cadence, each session is invoiced individually as soon as it's scheduled — true to the plan's name.
- Postpaid Per Session — "Charged at the end of the cycle for sessions actually used." Charged at the end of the billing cycle, for the session credits deducted during that cycle. Which sessions that covers follows the institute's credit deduction mode (9.2 / 14.3), not a fixed "completed" rule: on Automatically on Scheduling, a session counts as soon as it's on the calendar, whether or not it's happened yet; on Automatically at Session time or Manually, it only counts once the session's scheduled time has passed or someone has filled in the post-session feedback.
- Session Based Packages — "Buy a bundle of session credits upfront and draw them down." A one-time purchase of a fixed credit bundle, not a recurring cycle. This is the right choice for a flat request like "10 sessions for $1,000."
- Manual Invoices (under Other) — "Nothing is billed automatically, add invoices manually when needed." Selecting it closes the billing step with no configuration at all: no fields to fill in. Invoices for the course are then added one at a time from the course's own Billing tab (4.4) via its Add invoice action, as and when needed — useful for an arrangement that doesn't fit the automated plan types, or isn't tied to a session count at all.
Every field below that takes a currency amount shares one Amount/Price Per Session Credit box with a currency dropdown next to it (defaulting to the institute's currency, set under 9.1). Every Session Credits field shows a live duration-conversion hint as you type — e.g. "2 Session credits = 60 mins" — because a credit can represent either 1 session or a fixed block of time, depending on the institute's credit Calculation Rule (9.2). A specific session can also be marked as worth 2 credits instead of 1 — e.g. for a longer or premium session — which results in a higher charge for that session under any of the credit-based plans. Separately from the Calculation Rule (how much a credit is worth), the institute's credit deduction mode (9.2) decides when a credit gets deducted — on scheduling, at session time, or manually — which is what actually determines which sessions a Prepaid or Postpaid cycle's invoice picks up.
Field by field, confirmed live:
- Session Based Subscription: Amount (+ currency) — "Amount to be charged on each invoice"; Session Credits — "Session credits to be added on payment of each invoice"; Billing Start Date (date picker, defaults to today) — "When should the billing start"; Billing Cycle (dropdown) — "Select how often invoices are generated," with options 2/4/6/8 weeks, then 1 through at least 5 months; Grace Period (dropdown) — "Platform access will be restricted if invoice is not paid," with options 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, or 10 days; and a Mark as paid toggle — "Skip collecting the first payment and mark the initial charge as paid."
- Prepaid Per Session: the same Price Per Session Credit, Billing Start Date, Billing Cycle, and Mark as paid fields as Subscription, but Grace Period is replaced by Invoice Lead Time (dropdown) — "Set days before the cycle to create invoices," with options 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 10, or 14 days.
- Postpaid Per Session: Price Per Session Credit, Billing Start Date, Billing Cycle, and Grace Period — the same four as Subscription minus Session Credits (sessions are already scheduled elsewhere; this plan prices whatever credits the deduction mode above has actually deducted by the end of the cycle) — and critically, no Mark as paid toggle, since there's nothing to prepay against on a postpaid plan.
- Session Based Packages: Amount, Session Credits, an Auto-Renew Package toggle — "Renewal invoice will be generated when sessions are completed" — and Mark as paid. No Billing Start Date, Billing Cycle, or Grace Period at all: a package is a one-time purchase, not a recurring cycle, so renewal (if turned on) is triggered by credits running out rather than by a calendar date.
- Manual Invoices: no fields.
Group courses offer a larger catalog than 1:1 (5.4): the same five types above, plus two 1:1 doesn't have — One-time or Installments and Access Based Subscription (the latter labeled Coming Soon and not live yet, so not documented further here until it ships).
