By default, session recordings are kept for 45 days, streamed from the platform rather than downloadable by students, and visible to students only if "share recordings" is left on for that course. Admins can download recordings; tutors cannot download or delete them.

The 45-day default can be fully disabled (not just extended) on a per-course basis, which is worth doing for any course running longer than a few months where a recording needs to stay available past the default window.
