A lot of billing confusion comes from "session" quietly meaning three different things depending on who's asking:

  • Wise's own billing to you — any Zoom meeting lasting 10 minutes or more counts as one billable unit toward your Wise plan, regardless of whether a student ever joined or how long it was scheduled for.
  • A student's session credit — governed by your Calculation Rule and deduction timing (9.2), and entirely separate from Wise's own billing to you.
  • A tutor's payout-triggering session — recorded when the hosting tutor submits their feedback form (9.3), independent of both of the above.

Treat these as three unrelated counters. A session that costs a student a full credit might pay a tutor a different, independently-set amount, and both are unrelated to whether that Zoom meeting counted toward your own Wise plan.
