These are the institute-wide defaults that govern how a student books a session with a tutor (a tutor can also have their own values — see 7.4):
- Minimum notice for session booking — how close to the session time a student can still book.
- Minimum notice for cancellation — your institute's cancellation policy for student-initiated cancellations.
- Buffer time between session bookings — the gap enforced between two back-to-back student-booked sessions. Doesn't apply to events synced in from Google Calendar.
- Restrict bookings to adjacent slots — e.g. a 9–10am booking means only 8–9am and 10–11am show as available next, so a tutor's day stays contiguous rather than scattered.
- Booking time slot intervals — the granularity shown to students (30-minute steps vs. 15-minute steps, etc.).
- Limit future bookings — how far ahead a student can book at all.
